It was my dad's birthday last Sunday, and he really wanted to come up and watch the Blue Angels fly in San Francisco (they were here for Fleet Week), so we (Dad, Mom, Cara, Dan, and I) made a quick trip over to the Embarcadero to watch the show. The planes were not able to do as much as they usually do because of the cloud cover, but it was still a lot of fun to watch them.

Tank was being really funny this week (or maybe I, like many moms, think my "child" is far cuter than anyone else thinks) and so I ended up taking some great pictures of him.

Late last week, my airways started to feel constricted here and there, and I was having a little bit of pain in my sternum and in my chest over the weekend. By Monday, the pain was gone, but I was still having a little bit of trouble breathing from time to time, so I went to the doctor. After running a couple of basic tests, the doctor informed me that I had a lung infection and sent me on my way with a prescription for antibiotics and a fast-acting inhaler for when my windpipes felt really constricted (I've only used it twice since I got it). People kept asking me if the doctor had said what kind of lung infection it was or where I might have picked it up, but she hadn't said. It's the kind of office where you feel like they are just trying to get you out as fast as possible (although I waited for the doctor in the exam room for twenty minutes). I took some time off and have been feeling better, just really tired and cranky. Today, I was looking at my info sheet from my antibiotics (I was on the Z-Pack, by the way), and it listed the things it was commonly prescribed for. One of those things (which sounded scarily similar to what I had) was community-aquired pneumonia of the mild variety (I think you were right, Jared, that it is basically walking pneumonia). What?! So, drawing from the doctors reaction to my waiting almost a week to come in (they acted pretty freaked out) and the similarities to how the info sheet described the symptoms and the antibiotic regimen it suggested (and I followed per the doctor), I'm guessing that is what it was. Crazy, right? And finally, yesterday we went to the Oakland Temple for Stake Temple Day. It was such a beautiful day in Oakland!

I haven't been though an endowment session in a while, so it was nice to do that. And afterward, Dan and I went down to Hayward for Olive Garden! I have not been to Olive Garden since my 23rd birthday, so it was so exciting to go. We had to hurry back to Marin because Dan had a tutoring appointment in Mill Valley, but he picked up some dessert from a french bakery in downtown MV. It was very yummy and a nice, relaxing end to the week.
